Wake

Every working day, I travel over the Colonial Bridge into Cape Coral. Once upon the bridge I enter a prayerful state of gratitude and I have had many hours to think about, what I believe to be, the feminine energy of the Gulf waters. With reflection, I wrote:

Water is a strong and beautiful woman
who has experienced the world.
She is satisfied by light;
open to surface encounters.
She harbors life, nurtures it,
and is deepened by appreciation.

Injured by insensitivity. Wake to
  an undeniable force;

a cradle and a monster
vast but not full.
Tales and truths
  mysteries and miracles
wrap around the world
whispering stories

from depths to shore
 in every language

loved, feared
unknowable, completely.

Everything Comes to Pass. Nothing Comes to Stay.

If you are feeling caged your mind is playing tricks that don't allow you to remember impermanence. ALL is just a phase. Breathe!
